The Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was a very important battle in the history of the American Revolution. During this battle, Charles Cornwallis expected to be reinforced by British troops. Instead of this happening, a french fleet arrived off of Yorktown to chase away British ships. Therefore, American and French armies escaped by land, and French troops blocked escape ways by sea. Cornwallis eventually surrendered. This was a major victory for America. The Battle of Yorktown ended the Revolutionary War. If this battle weren't won by the Americans, the war would not have ended and America would not be a free country. I believe that this was the most important battle of the American Revolution. I feel this because if it didn't happen the war would've been won by the British.
