Saratoga
The battle of Saratoga was significant in the American Revolution because the outcome convinced the Europeans that America had a chance to win the war. At Saratoga, Americans surrounded the British. The Europeans suffered several casualties. John Burgoyne surrendered. as a result of the American victory, it lifted patriot spirits when Washington was suffering defeat. Also, it destroyed British hopes of victory. If this victory didn't happen for America all of the chances of later victorie could have been lost because it would have lowered American spirits more than they already were. I feel this was the second most important battle of the Revolutionary War because it was almost as important as the the Battle of Yorktown.
